Yawn.
I love historical fiction, It's one of my favourite genres. However this book was difficult to finish reading. The characters were not interesting, the story was uninteresting (even though Mary, Queen of Scots story is very interesting), and I was glad to be done with it.
Normal for Nora
These two stories are normal Nora Robert romances. There isn't anything remarkable about both novellas except that they are both easy, quick reads.
Gripping read, great read.
Historical fiction is one of my favourite genres, however I was unsure of how I would feel about the "fantasy element". All I can say is I thoroughly enjoyed it. Ailia such a strong female, knows she was meant for more than to be a kitchen hand. Skin takes the reader on a Ailia's journey of self discovery and how important it is to know where your roots are. I was saddened by the ending, but in the twist of fate which was to become her destiny there was no other way to draw her story to a close.
Short, fun read.
| I enjoyed joining Eve Walker on her journey through Europe as she tries to pull off the must attend events of an international media conference. Eve also begins a journey of finding who she is and what she wants from life. As the book progressed, I found it difficult to put down. Eve was such an engaging character I wanted to read more about her. I felt the ending left me hanging! I wanted to continue reading about Eve and where she was going to do with her life. Maybe (and I hope so) the author has a sequel coming |
